@spookcentral if you die on a plane and become a ghost, does your ghost haunt the plane or the spot in the air where the plane was when you died?

@Taweret i know this is probably a joke reply, but there's actually documentation on this topic! after Flight 401 crashed into the Everglades in the second deadliest airplane crash in American history, parts from the plane were reused on other aircraft. Flight attendants and pilots who worked on those planes reported hearing the sounds of the crash and seeing the ghostly images of passengers and crew! So i guess the answer is the first one!

@Taweret in fact, the company that owned the aircraft almost sued a pilot for spreading the rumours that the planes that had Flight 401 parts were cursed

@nuttgodd to me. there's something sad and beautiful about a residual haunting - so much human emotion was felt in a place that the building itself absorbed some of that and now the participants play back their tragedy forever

@nuttgodd gettysburg is a prime example of this - there's very few spirits that attempt to make their presence known and just a bunch of reported sightings of soldiers going off to fight a battle that ended a century and a half ago

@kelsey my best resource is The Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirits by Rosemary Ellen Guiley. It's really thorough and explains the basics well, and is alphabetized for easy lookup of landmark cases

@kelsey i have the second edition but the third edition is probably better cuz since Ghost Hunters premiered there's been a renaissance in the "field" of parapsychology
