       they all heard stories about the infamous hacker known as 4chan and wanted to fit in to seem hardcore. they're essentially the same fragile kids as the goatse generation, the difference being that the ironic bigotry isn't ironic anymore

       @hailsatan Chans are fucking awful but imo Youtube reactionaries are way worse just because they're so much more outwardly benign while also being accessible and ultimately being gateways to much worse shit.

       i'd say it's a pipeline. a lot of the edgy right wing shit starts from chans and gets propagated by redditors, youtubers, etcwhile a lot of the big right-wing ecelebs are self-serving they're also successfully indoctrinating people to fascist ideas

       I don't consume a whole lot of chan nonsense nowadays but i was getting the feeling that chans were kinda suffering a reverse facebook effect where the presence of racist materials were causing an influx of older people, but I don't know the truth to that.
