Trying to convert an album I bought off iTunes in 2007 into mp3s so I can put it on my media server and it's so annoying. Fuck DRM. I'm having to create a "movie" in iMovie 9, export to aiff and reimport into itunes I hate you Steve Jobs

@natehousley pretty sure if you sign into iTunes you can just delete the DRM’d versions from your library, head to your purchases tab, and redownload. New downloads won’t have DRM.

@natehousley ah, apparently you need to have an iTunes Match subscription to rematch the old mp3s with newer DRM free AACs

@elchapo That was the next thing I tried. I signed up for a free trial of Apple Music and can't find iTunes Match anywhere. It's supposed to be integrated but I cannot figure it out and nothing online about it seems to be up to date

@natehousley It had better be your favorite or very rare. That just seems like a lot of work.

@natehousley they’re separate things but apple does a piss poor job of explaining it. You have to go to the store enable match and it’s $25 for a year or something. I don’t think there’s a free trial
