@Eweish1 KC is good and cool, and I like the ozarks, but the rest of the state should float down the Mississippi river and drown in the ocean

@Eweish1 I'd honestly take it over kansas though. I only hate on Missouri because I grew up just south of the border and I think the Confederate cultural osmosis got to me.

@Pepsi @BDA @Eweish1 there is a town about 40 minutes away from Kirksville (in the NE section of Missouri, nearish Iowa) called New Boston. has a population of like 200 and it's one of my favorite places in the world. the "town" has a very small grocery store, a post office and a bar.

@Jessicacrets @Eweish1 @Pepsi I am so glad my family doesn’t live there anymore. Transitioning in the PNW is great, but god, I would have so much anxiety if seeing my family meant traveling to Wichita and Sedgewick/Butler County. I’ve only been there a handful of times, but...that’s a hard pass.

@Eweish1 @Pepsi @Jessicacrets (All of this is based upon feelings)So Wichita proper is a city, so like..:say Harrisburg, PA (where I have lived), it’s reasonable while you are literally within its walls. As soon as you go outside of it though it gets really c/Conservative real fast. And as a trans woman, the big C conservative shit in Kansas is frightening to me. My memory of that area is such as it is the kind of place someone would call 911 on me in the bathroom.

My experiences in Kansas, 6 weeks over the course of a few years, were too brief to really be able to speak on it, and I understand why I don’t actually know what I am talking about. If anyone wants to talk about Central, PA, Raleigh, DC, Philly, Grand Rapids, or WA...I will be over here.Until then I am going to shut up
