its so cold in the midwest that toilets are freezing and exploding, it would be a good idea to keep some spare jackets and emergency blankets with a sheet of local shelters for any unhoused folk you might bump into

@mmn @hasya23 I have a toilet like that in an area that lacks heating, it's no problem. There should be plenty of air above the water in the tank for the ice to expand into, hence my ".. how?". Maybe flash freezing forming an ice lid that got stuck or something?

My guess the water lock is without water and warm sewage-air comes back up and frosts.
