       well the dead bug construction method of my discrete transistor computer isn't workingi am going to fund PCBs/veroboard with my new job :-)see the project here: https://hackaday.io/vidak it is a discrete component 12 bit computer that uses brainfuck as its Instruction Set Architecture

       @kragen @dirtycommo That's a bummer. Is there any kind of tool that would make it easier? What if you used acrylic or some sort of plastic sheet as a substrate?

       @teslas_moustache well, as @dirtycommo  said, they're thinking of using veroboard, which does make this kind of thing easier :)

       @kragen @teslas_moustache yeah... the main issue is the cheap ass SMD transistors i bought, whose leads are so so soft and snap easily.i am gonna try TTL ICs first as a proof of concept, and then get some PCBs ordered, once i design them

       @dirtycommo @teslas_moustache oh, maybe you could stick a blob of hot glue on each transistor to support its leads? ideally the transparent kind for looks
