       RE my last Toot:Don't we HAVE universal access to health care now, with the current system, as long as you can get to a hospital? An ER has to treat you by law if you go in and ask for care. You'll go broke, but hey, that's "ACCESS."

       @Ricardus kind of.  The ER will treat you/get you stabilized/get you out of immediate danger, but they typically do not dig down and get into underlying problems.  It’s fine for short term things, but not for chronic or complicated health problems
