Sometimes I think about how much of the toot-lab could be static files on the filesystem and I cry a little

@djsundog It's amazing how heavy these modern technology stacks are.I actually tried to start a Pleroma instance on a 533 MHz VIA Eden... and I won't even bother making it internet-facing, because it's far too slow to be usable.Meanwhile, as you've pointed out, in the past, we've had federated social networking implemented on platforms with less capability than your average scientific (much less graphing) calculator in 2018.

@mexpat @djsundog The VIA Eden performs a bit worse than an ARM11 per MHz, as far as I can tell. So, your Pi 2B (with four Cortex-A7 cores) is probably 8x or so faster at running Pleroma.
