       the argument that "capitalism made your phone" is ridiculous and not even worth engaging because it carries the unstated assumption that technological advancement is only possible under a free market system. the soviet union led the world in electric train technology by miles and whipped the US's ass in every space race milestone except for moon landing, that is literally the definition of technological advancement lol. but americans are brokebrained and can only understand technological advances as they relate to their own personal consumption habits.
