Me: *typing away on my Razr Black Widow*Wife coming up the stairs: I hear you typing away there, Mr. Jon. Me: I hope so. I paid a hella for this keyboard to make damn sure everyone on the block can hear me typing. Wife passing by the office: Fair.

@salvadorlimones I love mine. I don’t even game. I’m just really hard on keyboards and got tired of going through the $20 ones.

@noorul Pretty much all the “gaming” keyboards are mechanical. All keyboards were mechanical originally. Loud clickey clickey ones. But over time they’ve been replaced by solenoid ones that are slim and quiet but also break easily under heavy use. Mechanical ones are back on the market because they are much tougher. They’re generally much more expensive but worth it (in my opinion).

Thank you for explaination.I bought Logitech keyboard, low cost, for particular feature it advertised. That is no clicking sound which makes typing quiet.I don't know how I get with sound on mechanical one.By the way, durability is something to take into account@jonw

@noorul I’m not sure I know what you mean. I assume “remote work” means “working from home” but I guess someone could work remotely from an office. But that’s not the type of remote work I mean.
