Wondering if I could host my own write freely blog on a VM on my computer. Would that even be feasible? Would it be against the terms of my ISP? How would I even check?And if I did it, could I create a writing community?

@AlexAloi I can only speak of experience of my ISP. If they provide a static ip then they expect you to use it to serve things from. I think I ended up paying a little extra a month for the benefit.

@carbontwelveSee, that's the thing - I don't control the bill for that, so I wouldn't know how much extra that service is.

@AlexAloi if you have a copy of the terms and conditions they will state limitations there. If you see nothing implicitly stating you can’t host services from your connection then it _should_ be fine, I’ve done so without issue for years but I’m not a lawyer 😋
