Do you have the habit of writing notes about technical challenges and problems you've faced in your professional routine or things you're learning? If so, how do you organize them? What kind of tools do you use?

@Anna Mostly if I have an interesting problem, or repeatable solution, I blog about it. Only organization I use are categories/hashtags to filter down my searches when I go look it up again.

@Anna I write notes all the time. I currently use Atom (because, the IDE supports asciidoc generation), one page per concept/thing I am working on, and write the headings etc in asciidoc which you can preview in Atom. When I was studying certs, I would just use a normal Word processor because I am constantly taking screenshots and pasting them but my current choice is not a good one because the images get misaligned with the text.

@mdhughes That's a nice approach—it's a good way to keep your notes organized and help other people at the same time.

@hcs @Anna A (long) while ago I used \LaTeX for lecture notes with mathematical formulae and photos/images.Nowadays it's mostly Vim and short brain dumps into a file with one or two keywords and an iso8601 date in the name.I've been trying out snippets on my GitLab instance (gists in github parlance). It's actually quite neat. Supports markdown and syntax hilighting.I sadly fail at a more organized note taking and often `grep` or search are weapons of choice. 😔
