#Newpipe 0.14.2 can't play YouTube videos anymore. Downgrading to 0.14.1 seems to work for the moment. (Need to uninstall the latest version first.)The problem is fixed upstream in version 0.15 which will be on fdroid in 1-2 days.

@fdroidorg Glad to see it's a known problem. Not so glad it'll take so long 😭

@fdroidorgI suggest NewPipe should have push messages. Messages like this should be communicated to users directly via app.

@fdroidorg Question: Why does F-Droid not have an "all installed apps"-area any more? It is very inconvenient on several occasions. Finding this app took a longer time, because I had to look for it in the list of all available apps instead of the installed apps.

@fdroidorg And always export the database as a backup always to import it to the new version 😉

@fdroidorgGood response time!I discovered the issue yesterday and was hoping somebody would announce something. I'm eagerly waiting for the version with the fix, although I believe, it's caused by YouTube changing something on their end?

@fdroidorgAnsonsten kann man die neue Version auch bei Github runterladen und installieren.Backup der Abos ist dann aber auf jeden Fall Pflicht :mastowink:

@fdroidorg Is there anyway to downgrade apps on Fdroid without uninstalling the app (thus deleting the data).

@sneakypete Is that something Android apps are generally written to be able to do? I suspect it's not there because they're not.

@fdroidorg Again a "Help! Newpipe stopped working!" wave going around the world. Luckily there are at least 3 other YouTube players in F-droid. 😀 #skytube #mintube #musicpiped #f-droid Hopefully one day PeerTube video network will be the most popular. #peertube

@noorul Thanks, excellent suggestions. I meant to try #Oandbackup before. Do you know how well it works? Like if you are switching phones (using LOS on both) is it possible to backup and move all the app data from one to the other?

You can back up data of user installed apps and restore without problem. For system apps, it confusing. For example, call log, sms, contacts backup on Android 7.0 may not work Android 8.0.These r draw back@sneakypete

@sneakypete you can make identical of all data or settings of one device to an other with same Android version.Like, all app data, sms, system setting, wall paper etc

@noorul Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great app. Will use for my next migration. And it would be a bit too much to expect it could handle system to data over different Android versions. Would have been great, but nothing I expected. Cheers!
