       @lady_lumb 1. A lot of times when you suggest watching a movie, they know what you mean but want more effort than "a movie." Just the minimum amount of effort. So it's a specific movie, and one everyone loves.2. But! if they actually just want to watch a movie, it's a good movie.3. Everyone has seen it, so if you start making out, it doesn't matter, everyone knows how it ends.4. It's short, so if you try to kiss them/ask if they want to kiss and they don't want to, and it's awkward after, you're not sitting around for three hours or some shit.5. If you have to sit around in awkward silence, at least you're watching Space Jam.6. It's not sexual so there's no pressure implied by the movie itself.7. It won the Academy Award in 1997 for Best Picture (Of All Time)
