@karolat @sjw @ReadTheBible @p Well I was but I don't think I explained myself very well to him because the instance was still up after I got back from church. I was expecting him to use some nerd-code to deactivate it nice and cleanly but I just mounted the server and opened it up in my graphical file manager and graphically dragged all the files into the recycling bin

@sjw @p @karolat It's so good that I never took up smoking or any kind of actual drugs because I'd be dead right now.I almost got too deep into drinking but somehow I saw the light and was able to pull myself out in time. Now I'm a total teetotaler. I wouldn't take a sip of beer if you paid me to. I have to do so or else my liver would fail in like 3 months.

I sometimes find myself binging on social media and the fediverse is no exception. Unlike facebook and other crap though I really enjoy seeing how my friends are here and talking to them. Nazis or not, the fediverse is the social network of good people imo.

I find myself disagreeing with people all the time though I've learned (the hard way honestly) that's it's generally time better spent focusing on things you find in common with people than vice versa.I see where you're coming from though. The fediverse, being a lot smaller than things like twitter, doesn't seem to have an extremely diverse set of ideas. You really are a bit unique here and I enjoy talking to people I don't agree with so much (although it didn't really seem you enjoyed talking about where we differed). I miss folk as well.
