I hate how often ‘broaden our movement’ and ‘build a united left’ is code for ‘work with left wing political parties who won’t hesitate to report us to the cops. How about we broaden our movement to our workfloors, streets, schools? How about we build a united left by connecting to all the little action groups trying to make the world a little better where they are?

@queeranarchism mood!!! One of my biggest contentions with most currently organized leftist groups is the lack of outreach to individuals (on workfloors, streets, schools— usually justified by these people’s lack of pre-existing education on leftism and do you see that classism at work) and the overwhelming focus on either ineffectively uniting or pointlessly arguing with other organized groups who don’t share our goals.

@anarchanders Yeeeeees. And any outreach those groups do to individuals is recruitment, not offers of solidarity or ideas to work together on shared goals. Their ‘left’ is reduced to political parties the same way possible political action is reduced to voting and campaigning. Some literally see green centrists as semi-leftists, but not the local anti-racist activists or the teacher buying school supplies for poor students or the homeless people that self organized a clothing drive.
