       @velartrill @drewcassidy the database kinda corrupted itself in the night somehow and I did all I could, but it wouldn't accept the auto-generated login credentials anymoreI eventually just gave up, burned it all down, and went back to using other people's instances.

       @velartrill @drewcassidy if I had any inkling of what caused it, I would have tried again, but I was left with nothing whatsoever - not so much as a cryptic debug log to post on a help forum - so I decided to take an indefinite break from trying to run a fediverse server. I may try again after I've found the motivation to sit down and try to grok how activitypub and company work.

       @velartrill @drewcassidy I really want to be clear that I don't blame anyone save myself for what happened, as I'm sure it would've gone better if I'd been better-informed about how the software works - and indeed, it's clearly extremely possible to run a successful pleroma instance.I'm just apparently not yet ready to handle it.
