It's almost hard to believe that America once had a trucker and CB radio craze.

@moonman I believe that had to do with a little movie about truckers called "Convoy".

@camedei456 Yeah. I have a bunch of those movies downloaded, but honestly I doubt anyone would watch most of them.

@moonman @camedei456 I remember almostvevery show in the 80s had some kinda big truck. From Mad Max to Knight Rider to Transformers. Truckers were seen like cowboys out on the range rider their metal steeds. (fyi being a trucker as a career is really unhealthy)

@moonman @ricardus Not to mean much, CB still has it's uses.Nowadays, though it's only useful for information about traffic jams from either school buses (unless they use ham radio) or truckers.

@chazcon @moonman To be fair, truckers still have their use these days, and still have a demand. If they didn't, then they would have to rely on the post, which isn't kind to most parcels (unless they're fragile).I've heard a story of one postman taking chicks (for some context, these were young chicks that were ordered by Higby Feed to sell in their store) home to feed them, since they would likely die from the cold (if they didn't starve first) there.
