nothing will ever make me as mad as the fact that our education system is continually being degraded by the logic of the market and people who continue to insist this is acceptable or even a positive good.

@illnessideology I went to a charter school from 2nd-8th grade. when I started fifth grade they sold the charter school to another company that wasn’t doing “experimental” schooling so everyone kind of stopped giving a shit. it ruled. we watched “Holes” on DVD dozens of times

@illnessideology yeah more or less. it was between school years so I wouldn’t have been learning the same stuff anyway. under the new curriculum US Civics was a fifth grade class but under the old one that was a fourth grade class so I ended up doing it twice and not doing world history
