I'm looking for laptop suggestions if anybody has any.Money isn't as much of a problem as it is usually (but ofc i don't want to waste it on something silly).I think I want to get a good laptop which will last me through the rest of college. The main qualities I'm looking for are:* works with *nix/free software without much difficulties (proprietary blobs are ok as long as they're not anything like nvidia)* has a good screen (I have a 1080p screen on my current laptop and love it)Bonus points: easily repairable hardware would be amazing, but i don't really mind.(boosts ok)

@pounce I enjoy my Thinkpad X1 Carbon a lot. It's certainly on the pricier side though.

@neonI'll check it out! I looked it up and it has a fingerprint reader, do you know if this works with Linux?

@pounce I have an acer spin 1 which I think fits the criteria (minus reparability). It's also fairly light and has a big battery which I feel is important for a uni laptop.

@absOoh that's nice and not too pricy. I like small, light laptops for this reason too

@pounce It really only works as a work laptop, though. Even just playing (probably badly encoded) 1080p videos pushes it beyond its limits. If that's not a problem for you, I would recommend it.

@absThat already happens with my current laptop ^^My main concern is whether to replace my current laptop or get a better one, and this would be a good replacement

@pounce Nope, though someone is apparently working on it. The LTE doesn't work either.
