Been feeling extremely trapped by my circumstances recently. Have a really strong urge to make big changes, but I worry about them being impulsive. Also, executive dysfunction is a thing. Ugh.

@erbridge which do you feel is most painful, the feeling of being trapped, or the recurring curiously of how different your situation could be?

@neauoire Definitely feeling like I need to do something about it. I'm just afraid of taking too big leaps, but small steps don't feel fast or big enough. Which is not helping with actually doing anything at all.

@neauoire It is inspiring, and sort of captures some of my thoughts and hopes. A large part of what I'm struggling with is the need to work. I freelanced exclusively for a few years, but it wasn't good for my mental health, but neither is my current job. Trying to work out a middle ground that gives me some structure, but also flexibility. And that seems to suggest downsizing.

@erbridge Optimizing toward the need for less revenue has worked better for me than optimizing toward the generation of more.

@neauoire That's a really nice way of putting it.
