@waifu @JonQuan @cascode I'm quite surprised that arch based distros are the only thing that bloody workedEven though the last antergos install was quite trying as well

@JonQuan @karen I realize that some people don't have anything better to do, but for some of us shooting ourselves in the foot isn't a very productive thing to do

@karen @cascode @JonQuan 30 years later. You've finished writing your own kernel. Finally, you must be the most elite computer user. Nobody can ever touch at your awesomeness. You truly have proved yourself to know how to turn on a computer. You log in to your fediverse account, to tell everyone of your success....It turns out you wrote your Kernel in a boring programming language. Try GalaxyRust next time, loser! C is for illiterate babies. You're at the same level of filth as a regular Windows user.

@waifu @karen @cascode @JonQuan C is supposed to be boring. unless GalaxyRust features automatic formal verification, you can keep your hipster lang and kernel. seL4 (Haskell+C) suits me just fine.

@besserwisser I was thinking of taking a look at the redox source but I guess I should start by making my own implementation of a brand new cpu architecture using ttl logic chips I etched from sand on the beach, huh

@cascode Try some different operating systems in a VM if that's fun for you. Otherwise stay with what works for you or change distros because you think they work better for you if it doesn't work out.
