if i've told you once, i've told you a thousand times. debate is something that normal, honest people encounter only as an unwelcome side effect of their attempts to share and enjoy looping images of two or more skeletons mercilessly railing each other

@rach @amphetamine cryptofascists lov 2 hijack the concept of "debate", first insisting that it's something everyone should be prepared to do at any time to defend fundamental aspects of their existence (when it's actually just a boring hobby that most people spend almost all their time not doing), and then using it as a handy propagandising tool. any time i see someone demand (and it is always a demand) a debate online, i shudder physically
