@matrix oh look, a centrist. liberals aren't moderates, they're the first people to call the cops on anarchists.

@lyliawisteria Anarchism doesn't recognize property rights (one of natural rights), so it's obvious why they do so.

@moonman @matrix which is more important to you? broken windows or dead bodies? if it's the former, your politics are fascist! (seriously, that's Ronald Reagan you're aping)

@lyliawisteria @matrix false dilemma imo. anarchists accomplish nothing, their destruction is performative. no point in disturbing public order for that.

@lyliawisteria @matrix yes, by your (seeming) definition that any governance that isn't anarchism is fascism, I guess I am a fascist. Every country is fascist. Again, who's the extremist here?

@moonman @matrix anarchy is a derived from Greek and literally translates to "no rulers". government is the antithesis of anarchy. fascists love government and keeping people under control with cops, unjust laws, and private ownership of the means of production, among other things. at least you got one thing right, every country *is* fascist! Mussolini defined fascism as a "perfect marriage between corporation and state" - 1/2

@lyliawisteria @matrix I think we disagree on fundamentals so it's probably not possible to find common ground. I believe government and hierarchy out-compete decentralization so we're stuck with them and have to focus on ways to make them work the least bad. I don't worship hierarchy or anything like that, so it's not ideological, it's more of a practical thing.

@moonman @matrix that's because your fundamentals are based on misinformation and ahistorical nonsense. to say that you would call the cops on anarchists betrays that you do support hierarchy. the people who receive the most violence from capitalist hierarchy aren't ever going to want to "just make it work", because there is no way to ever make the theft, destruction, and erasure of the language and culture of Black, Indigenous, People of Colour "just work".

@lyliawisteria I think at best in a revolutionary situation, you might get to choose your own master. I don't believe your movement is viable, so naturally I prefer the status quo to a thing worse to the status quo. you can fight all you want but even if you win, you will just be destroyed by the next-biggest hierarchy. You're not strong, the system just tolerates you. That's at its pleasure, in many other places you wouldn't even be tolerated.I think China is the future. The way it governs today is how every government is going to work in fifty years.
