I'm a little worried that I'm handling the sexuality stuff in MfoM hamhandedly. I'm a straight white guy writing about Japanese teenage lesbians (mostly). But, on the other hand, writing a VN that isn't about Japanese teenage lesbians seems *wrong*.So, I'd be really interested in feedback regarding the representation there. I'm too deep into it to be objective.

In particular, I can't tell if it's being mentioned too much.Like, I've been replaying it over and over during development, but sometimes I feel like half the characters are constantly announcing that they're gay, & the protagonist is constantly announcing she's asexual.(This actually literally happens on masto & other social media platforms but I can't tell if putting it in a meatspace context is breaking realism.)

@enkiv2 japanese people definitely don't talk about sexuality much, and being gay is still the butt of jokes. i don't think they'd tell anyone they're gay unless they trust the other and/or hope to start a relationship

@enkiv2 it's a lot of work to give this kind of feedback. there are people who do it professionally. they're called sensitivity readers. have you considered hiring one?

@annmygdala I hadn't, but I am now. Do you have any recommendations for how to find one?
