       we had the same problem last year actually but it wasn't game-ruiningpart of the game involves the players adding new rules, and i think we've learned now that there's a subset of rules that you just can't add even though they seem very fun at first

       basically, i made the game's penalty cards no longer matter, because i could just give them to somebody elsethen i had incentive to break all the rules and give others the penalties, which ultimately broke the game because oh well now the entire deck is in the players' hands

       @ky0ko You didn't ruin the game, the folks who made it ruined it by having rules that you could break.  ^_^
