@thatcosmonaut That's my overall impression. I'm willing to put up with 1-indexed arrays because the syntax and semantics are an absolute delight.

@nuklearfiziks the basics of it are very simple and flexible so you build stuff on top of it and kind of make it your own. it's fast as hell too. reminds me a lot of LISP in that way

@thatcosmonaut I prefer languages that have a single, simple guiding principle with a single, simple design built on it, and Lua is a great example. Everything is a table, and when the trade-offs inherent in that decision make something harder than it would be with a different approach, it feels forthright about it.
