       hmmso starting costs for my instance, if i do it about how i want, will be roughly $35 a monthexpanding it to how i *really* want it, will make it closer to $50 a monthand that's just for testing and ensuring that the model i like works, really

       i need a minimum of 7 servers10 servers is preferablei'll probably end up with 13 or 14 but a few of them can be very tiny and won't ever need scaled up

       @ky0ko ...how are you planning on doing this?? 7 servers alone seems like slight overkill; I manage with one pokey little ARM box pretty fine...

       @Toromino pleroma would cost me a minimum of $25/mo for what mastodon would cost me $35and i'm not running pleroma because it is missing a large number of features i consider necessary that mastodon has

       @multiplexd load balanced across 3 different regions, redis and sql replicated through each regionbasically just to see if i can, and if i can, then because it'll be more reliable
