@wizard do whatever works with gour hardware for your use case. for example, openbsd seems to work better with amd integrated graphics, which for some reason netbsd threw up an error while booting from install media

@wizard I'd start with FreeBSD. It's the most similar to Linux, in my opinion, so you can take a look at how things are done differently without being completely lost.That said, if one of them has grabbed your interest over the others, by all means start there! I rather like NetBSD and OpenBSD's minimalism, even if FreeBSD has some nice creature-comforts.
