An enby wearing a rainbow hat, cloak, and light-up earrings just got on my bus and at next to me, so of course I flirted with them and got both a pair of aforementioned earrings and their FB contact from the exchange 😏

I kinda asked this person out & learned they aren't actually an enby, just hide their gender and use they/them online (maybe in person...?) to troll bigots and it's giving me some conflicting feelsIe I like that they're questioning their pronouns & making space to de-gender pronouns including they/them as exclusively enby/agenderBut also it feels like using pronouns that aren't your pronouns is a miss // would I have been as down to ask them out if I had known this before? :x

Of course this ignores the possibility that they're an egg/questioning.I think my bottomline is folks should do whatever they want, but if you've already made a choice and are looking for after-the-fact validation from a trans person you should not do that (esp if that trans person is me)
