       @skunxum I think it should mention that Mastodon joined a network that existed long before, and still exists.  This article makes it sound like the federation began, and ends with, Mastodon.  The Japanese majority also isn't mentioned at all and may be of interest because of the overlap of furdom with anime fandom.
