       @siegvriel Not that weird. Philosopher E.M. Cioran was a very depressed young man, plagued by insomnia and suicidal thoughts. His mother, seeing his suffering, remarked: “If I'd known you'd turn out to be this miserable, I would have aborted you.” Throughout his life, he remembered this as a very exhilarating and liberating moment, as if he got instantly rid of all expectations put upon him.

       @josemanuel  yeah I've also read about how liberating it can be to accept mundane things in life. Perhaps it would be better to describe it as "counter-intuitive" rather than "weird"
