@lynnesbian is it possible to imagine something that is true? Like, i'm at my desk right now, so is it possible for me to imagine being at my desk? Does it have to be different from reality, or can it just be a crystallized version of the world as it is? Or perhaps i've got it backwards, and everything is imagined? Is the only way to be American to imagine being American? Please advise

@lynnesbian It gets confusing because we kick and measure things with the same tool.

@lynnesbian when Willy Wonka invites Charlie Bucket to "a world of pure imagination", what does that mean? Is it not a paradox? Everything in the factory was conceived of Wonka's imagination, but by making it material, Charlie now needs only perceive it. In many ways, entering the factory destroys any imagination Charlie had - every mystery was solved and truth revealed, every myth laid bare to the microscope of history.

@lynnesbian I try not to. I treat it like being white. It's the way and where I was born, but I can pick and choose identity and how I express it.I'm a citizen of the cosmos before any boundaries of geography and identity come into consideration.
