       @InkyPlaytime I think this is the consensus in most vegan circles but man are there some strange people out there I've seen. I'm a vegan who feeds my cats meat, and I feel like the best thing someone can do if they're a vegan who doesn't want to contribute to that is just not own meat-eating pets. I'm not comfortable feeding an animal mice or insects so I'm not gonna go out and buy a snake or something, if you don't want to feed a cat meat don't get one.

       @leonthotsky @InkyPlaytime Also if you don't want your pet to eat meat don't buy a pet that will massacre everything in the garden.  Dragonflies, spiders, voles, mice, rats, all manner of songbirds, squirrels, unidentifiable chunks of bone and gut, you name it, they've brought it into the house.  Shrews, I forgot shrews.  And frogs.  I'm probably blocking a lot of stuff.  If you're vegan and don't want a meat-eating pet, no, not cats.
