@marmite @lynnesbian polaris (rx4xx/5xx) is plug and play with basically any distro and has performance competetive with the corresponding nvidia gpus on their closed-source driver. vega is a bit slower than it should be and i have no clue about older gpus

@lynnesbian I don't bother going out of my way with any of the graphics drivers. Out of the box, I get 10M tri faces in the viewport on Blender... on a 2014 laptop. So... meh.
