       Got an #Arduino to do DMX output today with some astoundingly cheap parts. Pre-programming some lighting effects or responding to sensor inputs could be very handy for shows in the future.

       @obstsalat RS-485. Pretty much just a breakout board for a MAX485 chip.Gives me a fairly functional equivalent to a DMX shield, but costs $2 instead of $25.
