what can even be done to make a phone not suck ass. i got rid of stock android and replaced it with lineageOS and it still runs terribly. postmarketOS is still in early alpha (the website tells you not to use it) and i really don't want to compile the linux kernel for my phone. ubports doesn't support my phone. what can i do

@lynnesbian I put JellyBean on my Marshmallow phone once and it ran so much nicer. You only lose some extra battery features and Material Design from what I can tell, but if you want a phone that won't die on you, that's probably your best option.

@lynnesbian not necessarily saying that this is what you *should* do, butfor me, making phones suck less just meant relying on them for less things tbhthe more i rely on phones, the more i find they suck

@lynnesbianYeah unfortunately I don't know much about tweaking for responsiveness since my snapdragon 835 just throws resources at the problem

@lynnesbianI just remembered that they have sold laptops with an 835 and windows 10, which gives me a horrible idea for what to do with this phone if I get a librem 5

@lynnesbian Buy a brick phone, use your computer, or wait for the Librem 5 to come out next year.

@lynnesbian It’s an android distrib based on LineageOS. /e/ is the new (bizarre) name. The former name was « eelo ». The founder is the creator of The Linux Mandriva OS a french named Gael Duval (i haven’t tested It yet)https://e.foundation
