I think I have found my new numpad! Unfortunately the only one in stock is the red one. It's pretty but I prefer black or grey things only. :)http://macropad.co#MechanicalKeyboards

@hund Ever since I saw this in the Timeline, I have been drooling at the simple, beautiful, and functional design. If I can ever get my media plans going, it would be good for switching views, scenes, or making edits.

@tekmav There's also other options if you want a larger grid. :)

@tekmav Out of stock, but it's a good solderless split ortho keyboard kit for a good price, that you could use as two macropads. :)https://novelkeys.xyz/collections/diy-kits/products/lets-split-vitamins-included-kit

@hund I will have to go back through the archives of the Ubuntu Podcast, but I vaguely remember an episode where I @MichaelTunnell was a contributing host and he was talking about repurposing a second keyboard for editing, macros, etc. I think at the time he was still sifting through all the keycodes.Might be an idea for later on.

@tekmav @hund you're right, it was on Ubuntu Podcast, S11E04. That worked but it took a lot of effort to do. I later replaced that with a macro-keyboard I found on Amazon.https://amzn.to/2UCFvuN (usa affiliate link, other links for other areas also available)Mechanical keyboard with 48 keys but supports 4 profiles so 47x4 = 188 keys. :D It has direct storage for configuration. Unfortunately, configs are via Windows but stores to memory so great after.

@MichaelTunnell @hund I really like the design but I do not have access to Windows. Wonder if wine or ReactOS could do it.

@tekmav @MichaelTunnell How about the Plank keyboard? It's an ortholinear QMK keyboard that works good as a macropad. The new revision features hotswap sockets from Kailh, so no soldering required.http://www.ukkeycaps.co.uk/product/planck-rev-6-eotw-mechanical-keyboard-kit
