Y’all I could not imagine going thru my awkward teen years on the internet. I remember the worst that could happen was ur crush shadow blocking you on AIM. Gen Z’s dealing w Facebook wondering if it should allow 🍆 pics to be sent to minors🤦♀️. A Pro side is info abt sex isn’t monopolized by parents and schools anymore and you can be as curious as you want. Con side, knowing how to protect yourself and ur info online at 14 yrs old. Consent classes need to include talks abt grooming & coercion.

@denidimochka this this this this this times a million. thank fucking GOD i wasn't really into posting as a 14 y/o, some of the shit kids post is just.......really bad opsec. and parents aren't young/techy enough to know how to teach their kids how to be safe online without Helicopter Parent-ing.

@kew @denidimochkaI was born in 1999, so I'm right on the tail end of being the last generation of kids that weren't /really/ online until their late teens, and that is something I thank God every day for
