       @Fahrenheit @thegibson really, really foolish thingsbut this is always truesomewhat specifically speaking: if medical devices (for imaging or other purposes too) are improperly disposed of, and salvagers try to dismantle them to find things like copper wiring or platinum components (as salvagers do with other electronics and machines), they will potentially cause incredible disasterand some people have done this before :( there's at least one specific case involving radioactive exposures
