In other news, I may have a permanent hearing loss in my left rear. I'm going to have a cortisone injection tomorrow to see if it helps to bring it back. I can still hear out of the ear but it sounds muffled, like when you have blocked sinuses. It came on very suddenly where I was dizzy for a bit one day and then slowly the hearing decreased. I had just recovered from having a cold so I didn't think much of it. It's been two weeks and I finally decided to see the doctor today. If the loss is permanent then it might be correctable with a hearing aid. I'll just have to wait and see now.

@der_Jeff Good luck with the shot, and also get a scan done; dizzy can just be an infection, or some brain damage.Between my tinnitus from concerts and DJing, and a couple gunfire incidents, I've got different ranges of hearing loss in each ear. But they came back up from the initial near-deaf event in the left side, which was very disorienting and made me super paranoid while it was muffled. My brain was always like this, so nothing new there.
