I'm ok with them, I don't see the big deal?

@babe I get annoyed they get snipped without the consent of the child but the people who are like ANTI-CIRC are all MRA assholes

@gayhobbes and it's only ever brought up by them as some kind of "RIGHT OK FGM IS BAD BUT WHAT ABOUT" and never really because they actually give a flying fuck

@babe @gayhobbes yeah I think that it should stop, because of bodily autonomy and whatnot. but there's also a big overlap between militant anti-circ people and big-time antifeminists and antisemites so it's really hard to side with them even for good reasons.plus I don't have a dick so i feel like it's not really my call. I wouldn't do it to my imaginary kid, but I'm not gonna tell penis-havers that I know better than they do.

@Chinchillazilla @babe @gayhobbes I don't think not having a dick should prevent you from having opinions about cosmetic surgery for infants

@babe @gayhobbes @rotor I have an opinion, I just can never be as knowledgeable as someone who has one so I will always ultimately defer to them on the topic.

@Chinchillazilla @babe @rotor I would argue it's a little more than cosmetic. It's irreversible surgery that has been shown to reduce pleasure.
