Hey @Vbhide @Sosthene !I’ve just read the long list of ridiculous demands from the yellow vest movement, and I’m more convinced than ever that the Europeans are fucked.There’s no hope for a continent of ignorant children crying for authoritarian control over all aspects of life, and It’s clear to me that the worst place to be in the world if shit hits the fan (economically), will be Europe.

@402PaymentRequired @Sosthene do you have a link ? I read a 24 point list which was pretty mixed and some of them were sensible. I suspect that just as with the road to serfdom the road to freedom can also be guaranteed with one or two trojan horses.

@402PaymentRequired @Vbhide the point is that there is no such thing as a "yellow jacket", any one can be one and publish his own list of revendication that are as legitimate as any other. I agree with you most of what we heard is terrifying, but I suspect there is a media biased (they will report what they agree with) and the far-left is trying very hard to confiscate the movement (see the communist leader Melenchon now adding fuel to the fire and saying he is "ready to take the leadership")

@402PaymentRequired @Vbhide @Sosthene Bitcoin is an opt out tool, but Europe has no hard binding social contract that protects individual rights like here in the US. Government force can be very powerful. Even though we are unmoored from our Constitution, it still provides the framework for an environment that compliments Bitcoin and vice versa. If catastrophic world collapse happens, most who support our constitution own guns and would enjoy what Bitcoin has to offer once they understand it.

The same way they treat their parents (not going to explain this to grandpa, too old and dumb...) I treat them.They need to be replaced with a generation who is on average a little more wokeIf bitcoin works and cleans the mess our parents and grandparents have created/maintained, it will be because of a generational shift, IMO.
