nothing has reinforced my preference of Mastodon over Twitter more than making the same post on both platforms and watching as it does numbers on Mastodon and gets exactly one like on Twitter from a dude with twelve followers named "Jeff"

@Ashen @comradetaylorswift Mastodon shows that the syndicalist method of social media actually works extremely well as long as you're not an extreme narcissist with brain spiders. Which is unfortunately exactly the kind of user most large social media platforms are trying to engineer.
