@zeta tbh there should be limits, i think it's better overall that waythough, some realtime indicator would be very useful. or at least cutting off input after certain # of characters, or blocking certain emojis from appearing in the boxinstagram doesn't do that. you only get warned when you try and hit submitimagine if something like mastodon didn't have the character count indicator. it's only when you hit TOOT that it'll scream only "TOO MANY CHARACTERS!!!" or submit it. really annoying
