@tessaracked *pats* Mental illnesses tend to be chronic illnesses and sometimes you need time off to manage them.

@Anke @tessaracked this is a great way of putting it! And besides, they are illnesses. Also if you HAVE sick time it’s meant so you’ll be a healthy and productive person at work. It’s like taking your paycheck. Doesn’t matter whether you’re healing from cancer, depression, or whatever... you’d be less effective anyway. (which is like a BS perspective but even employer POV should recognize it)
