So that fancy bashrc to automatically color prompts differently across all my PCs works...but like all random things, it's too random. My laptop and server came out the same color. So now I need to tweak it for a custom offset or something.

I also just discovered that common color was a sign of a bug, where it couldn't determine the MAC because the newer version of ifconfig reported it differently. Naturally fixing this resulted in a different duplicate color. Reversing the order we parse the NICs in? Yet another dupe. *sigh*
