       @dr1ft t b hthat and read receipts, although even read receipts i can somewhat accept as a "I read this but don't have a response/don't want to respond" thingalthough even then, why not just have chat reactions be a thing so that people can decide when to notify "hey i read this" instead of the creepy auto-notify way
