im getting reallll tired of basic indie pop/rock with vocals from women. it all sounds the same now. realizing this with this snail mail album. it sounds good, yeah, but it sounds like everything else

@citrustwee as someone who listens to a healthy mix of all sorts of voices - i think its just the conventional styles of pop singing are boring. if you look at like - fever ray, light asylum, or the slew of various cold wave bands that fronted by women - minuit machine and hante come to mind; there is a range of weirdness and idiosyncratic styles. and then someone puts on lorde and i just get so fucking bored

@citrustwee i should be clear. i still listen to normalish pop music like florence and the machine and like - susanne sundfor and even like lykke li. i just listen to less of that stuff and a lot more women wildin out
