       honestly, we also need a C replacement that doesn't fucking require crosstalk between the lexer and parser to be parsed correctly.go looks interesting, but its build system is somewhat weird from what i've seen

       @tuxcrafting Go is weird but good. Given its inventors, it's worth checking out. Plus, its garbage collector will pretty much make you stop griping about the fact there's a garbage collector.

       @epimorphism well for example, a few of D syntax features break with the GC and exceptions disabled. also typeinfo's make it hard to link D code without the runtime
